Today at Sugarloaf

It's been a long time coming, but the odds are increasing for a snowstorm this Friday! I've spent the past few hours scouring different weather reports, and I wouldn't be surprised if we picked up 6 or more inches with this one. I'm not expecting a blizzard, but I am expecting a decent shot of snow, and some fantastic conditions this weekend.

How fantastic, you ask? Let's just say that this mountain knows how to make the most out of the snow that's fallen this season. Last night, for example, we picked up maybe half an inch of snow -but when I skied Powder Keg and Ignitor in the snowfields this morning, I found 4 or 5 inches of powder blown into the more sheltered aspects. If we get 6+ inches snow and favorable winds this Friday, the terrain you've been dreaming about all season could become more than just a fantasy. That's a big 'if,' though, so be sure to check back here for updates over the next couple of days.

News/Events:

We've got plenty of terrain to explore this week, but we've also got a lot happening off the slopes as well. Get here Thursday for Festival night, an evening of fun activities for the whole family. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. in the base lodge; tickets are $5 in advance, or $7 at the door. Also on Thursday, comedian Bob Marley will perform at the Shipyard Brew Haus. For more info, check out our events calendar.

The First Tracks program will run on Thursday and Sunday this week for New England Gold Plus passholders. The program lets you board the Superquad at 7:30 a.m., so it's a great way to score some unblemished early-morning corduroy.

Deals/Packages:

Still waiting to make plans for vacation week? With our Presidents' Vacation Week Hot Deal, you can get a room at the Sugarloaf Inn for as little as $109 per person, per night! This deal runs through Feb. 26, so call 1-800-THE-LOAF to make reservations today.
