After spending last week designing and helping build an absolutely unholy SBX course for the Rev Tour on Sidewinder (and by build we don't mean sat in a cat all day - he was running shovels with STP Crew for three straight days) Seth has two more stops left on this season's World Cup Circuit. And with 1060 points separating him from first place in overall SBX World Cup standings, he still has a good shot at bringing home his first ever Crystal Globe. In fact, Seth is really the only contender left that has a legit shot to overtake Markus Schairer, who has held the top spot for most of the season but had a rough go of it last week at Sunday River.
First stop is La Molina, Spain, where he qualified in fourth place yesterday. Finals are tomorrow, 3/13.
Until then, here's some good reading by Heather Burke from the Portland Press Herald. She managed to catch up with Seth during a few moments of down time last week.
And here's a list of a few worthy clicks to help keep track of Seth throughout his travels:
-
www.ussnowboarding.com - Good site with list of events and the latest headlines. Not always the fastest to update, but you can sign up to receive headlines and results in emails. Some handy RSS feeds here too.
-
www.fis-ski.com/ - Not as flashy as US Snowboarding, but this is the best (and only) place to get full results from all of the events around the world. (A little tricky to navigate sometimes - stick to the "Snowboarding" section and you'll do fine.
-
www.sethwescott.com - Seth's personal web site. Hasn't been updated since '06, but hey, he's a busy guy.
